People are changing non-LCI E92 taillights with the LCI ones. I think this might also be possible with some coding. But you might need to use sources other than the authorized dealer.

Hello all,

thanks for the responces. I am going to ask my dealer Wednesday morning. That is when I am going to pick up my new machine

Will ask again, cause my local dealer said yes and the other said no.

It's gonna cost that's for sure. I asked the price for retro fitting DRL LED lights, price for the units 155€, with installation its 555€?

for some DRL LED lights in the bumper

Checked with the dealer and from BMW its not original to fit afterwards but my dealer told me it could be possible to buy aftermarket lights and build them in. the connector should be the same, the only thing that will be is that the control unit needs to be modified due to the different technology behind the LED lights. So I guess it's time for someone to find out ... on Ebay LED tail lights cost 250€ ... who is going to try

For the cost of €400 extra you´ve got both Xenon lights and the LED-tail. Why didn´t you order that at the first time?

in Belgium it's 1000€ and my budget was spended, I rather have sat nav Pro with hdd and nice rims etc than xenon, but I like the tail led so much, and lights mostly can be retro fitted, sat nav etc not, or really expensive

Wait a little bit more and BMW will probably offer a retrofit kit for Bi-Xenon, you'll also have the headlights

Hi! Great site. I am going to order an x1 alpine white most likely within the next 14 days. My question is does anyone have a photo of the rear end of the X1 with non neon lamps? The neon lamps are very expensive in Greece.
Would like to see if the aesthetic look is worth the few more thousand.
moreover, does anyone have an idea what the oyster white leather interior looks like and if it matches a white exterior? Any photos?

Thanks

Hi Konstantinos, not sure if its the same in Greece as here but the rear LED lights come bundled with the Xenon lights. Thats actually what costs the big money as they also have to by law include the front headlight washers. If you do a fair bit of night time driving I would say that its worth the extra. The rear lights are just a bonus, although for the life of me I don't know why BMW don't just put them on as standard. Surely the cost of putting them on as a standard spec will be offset by them not having to have two different part lines.

The picture above shows the LED-Taillights. I think someone wanted to see the normal light-bulb tail-lights.

Hello,

For whom it may be interested, I am upgrading from LED tail lamps to smoke tail lamps, thus the original LED sets are putting up for sale. Including 2 LED tail lamps and 2 LED lamps on the boot lid. Lamps are in almost new condition with no scratch or wear whatso ever.

Asking for $330 plus shipping by paypal. Please send me an email for interests: ras_26@hotmail.com
