Whatever happened to the "product" establishing its elite or superior value and brand?

So us peasants get blue and white, and the rich get black and white. I see...

People have been swapping out their roundels to different colors for several years/decades with black and white being one of the more popular (especially black and white carbon fiber style roundels). Will be interesting seeing these folks get posted about on the "fake badges and such" threads

Mostly yawning here but this move reminds me of when Apple "flattened" all their icons and graphics in iOS.

[QUOTE=moviebumm;22184469]What do you think of this?
So is this to say that BMW is admitting that it is not an upscale brand, since it feels the need to launch upscale branding? It seems like Porsche doesn't need to do this. I suppose you could look to Maybach, but it feels like you might have diluted the core brand by implying it is no longer special. Also, how does Bavaria feel about you dissing their flag? Isn't that a core part of the company's heritage? |

Got to be the ultimate proof and acknowledgement that BMW is now a generic car maker like Toyota, Honda and a Nissan. This has IMO the Lexus, Acura and Infinity bullshit smell to it.

Actually, the Maybach experiment failed. It's now pretty much just an option package on the S Series. Cool chrome logo on the trunk lid, though.
