X1 Cargo Space

I was actually a little surprised today, thinking it was going to take me two trips to haul 5 tires from previous vehicles up to NTB. These are 275/19s and 255/18s. Five of them are in there and there's still a bit more room.

Lol, those are some huge tires, or at least they look huge...
Nice to know it fits that well

I really thought that was going to take two trips. Yeah those 19s were some pretty fat tires.

That's one of the reasons I got me the X1, looks small outside....but don't let that fool you.

It appears that 14.8 is the amount behind the rear seats, filled to the top of those seats. 25 is with the rear seats in the "cargo" mode, or perpendicular (church pew style) and filled to the roof.

Still a little confused - forgive my ignorance. Typically when a car manufacturer states cargo space behind the second row - it is usually one number. My rav4 is listed at roughly 34 cubic feet. I am not sure the x1 cargo is big enough for myself and my 2 boys ages 7 and 10. My younger son has a rather large foldable stroller and my older son typically has lots of sporting equipment. I also have the occasional golf bag. If I could store vertically I may be able to fit everything. I tried some of it at the dealer and it seemed like a tight squeeze. What are your experiences? Thanks!
