Bad pump would be my thought. I had the same issue on my other car. In my case, the afflicted pump made noise since it was trying to work but it wasn't happy and eventually died completely.

Any leaks along the washer hose?
Is the rear washer working?

Just changed mine a few months ago. The pump went without making any motor noise.

Garage List
I have a similar issue. Troubleshooting so far:
-- rear washer working
-- headlight washers normal
-- disconnected pipe at first nozzle - no fluid pumped out but pump noise.
-- Checked 30 amp fuse and fuse is fine
-- blew back through hose towards pump with compressed air and bubbles up through tank

The above seems to indicate a pump failure assuming the windshild sprayers work off a separate pump than the headlights and rear washer.

Is it the same or a different pump?

Any other thoughts?

Any recommended sources for new pump and cover pins if I remove and replace?

Washer pumps can be bought from Amazon or ebay or parts store. Videos are similar to e90 or e82. But I think I saw one that's e84 X1. Make sure you replace the pump for the front and not the rear! They sit next to another.
