So this has me thinking. Will the 19" M3 competition package wheels fit with that same front 12mm spacer? How much room do you have b/t the strut to work with?

Love the color combination! Very well done!

Been a while since I have posted...

But I changed the tires to 235/45 and 265/40 Conti DWS and am very pleased with the results...

Those wheels look really nice on your car. Can you please post pictures with your new tyres? And no issue with rubbing? Even if the car is loaded?

I'm still waiting my car to be delivered and fact is I ordered same tyre sizes as you (Michelin Alpin A4) for the winter setup. The car will come with 223 rims (8x18ET30 and 9x18ET41) but I'd really enjoy much better looking rims like yours!

Thank you.

Hey Booster, did you ever experiment with fitting that rear wheel setup on the front just to see how it fits?

Come on man! Just give it a try and see what happens! Don't give in to the impractical coupe/sedan!

I love the wheels, but I am curious if the 9.5 will fit on the front with the 265. Would be a perfect square setup IMHO.

Come on...do a solid before you go all sporty on us.

Looks, aside, there's simply no real compelling reason for that much tire on a street-driven car. Your steering feel will go down, weight up, mileage down, tramlining increased, etc.

Hehe I know you are right. I was just wondering how the 9,5 fits on the front.

I am planning on the 8.5 with 255/40-18 all around.

But I tell ya, my C4 Corvette with 315/35-17's on it square was very sticky and hardly any difference than the 275's.

Hi, Booster,

I see the new front lip which looks super-cool!
What is it? 2015 Sport Line one? Do you have the part number?

Thanks

Hi,

Based on Booster's pictures and experience, I went with the M3 wheels as well (without spacers and with stock Pirelli 225/45 and 255/40):

The car is lowered on KW V1 suspensions and it rubbed a lot in the rear wheels arches under compression (on the middle of the tire's sidewalls!).

I doubt I can use bigger tires, as Booster did. I guess the explanation is that my car sits lower and/or I drive it too hard. I must admit that driving "normally", there was no rub at all. I'll try to post detailed pictures of where it rubbed.

Cheers.

I installed my Competition wheels on my wifes X1 and have no rubbing issues at all so it has to be because you are lowered? I also think my tire sizes are larger than what you have...need to check it out and post up. See my post from yesterday.
