Anyone Started with JB+ then Upgraded?

New to the turbo scene, and I'm trying to decide between the JB+ and the Jb4.

The x1 35i is pretty quick, and the extra 25/30hp and 30/40ft lbs would probably be enough, especially where it's only a daily.

Just wondering if anyone ever done it. Do you wish you'd just gone straight to the jb4?


Searched for a used JB+, doesn't seen to exist.

I just went with a JB4 map 5 with aftermarket charge pipe. Highly recommend the charge pipe, I blew the stock plastic one at one point using only map 1 (13 PSI for 1, 12-17 for 5).

I have an extra JB4 stage 2 for sale for you... $275 shipped, it has the new port injection upgraded chip, flex fuel wires and running iso 5.14 firmware.

Also have a CPE charge pipe, vrsf downpipe, H&R springs... just have too many extra parts around the garage! Basically have doubles of everything!

I got a jb4 run map1 or 5. It's a big difference. I agree to get a charge pipe. Mine least 5k with the jb4. Lol

That's tempting, I'm just kind of scared to go the full blown JB4. I don't want the service techs to see that it's been altered, I don't want to run into problems down the road...

But getting it, and a charge pipe in a package deal from you would save money. Why do you have doubles of everything?

I just don't know enough about all of this.

The JB+ is literally like adding a manual boost controller, and that seems reasonable enough. That'll give me a little extra umph that I want.
