I swapped my 2014 trim to 2015 trim. Finding the P/N for the black with rot accent took my dealer a real long time.

The pieces are all different, I paid $180CDN plus taxes. I believe the wood and the aluminum were quite a bit more since they use real wood.

Yes, the aluminum trim is expensive. I think the dash is around $160 USD and each door is around $130 USD. Just not worth it to me. I wish there were salvage yards around to pick some trim pieces up cheaper. In the end I'll probably just wrap the Piano Black trim with 3M vinyl.

Have you looked at aftermarket [URL="http://www.carid.com/2013-bmw-x1-wood-grain-dash-kits/remin-dash-kit-full-kit-21434906.html" trim[/URL]?
They have some really good looking stuff that BMW does not have (See "Materials" at bottom of web page)

I'd want to see one of those kits installed before I put down my $270. If you want real CF in any color, check out oCarbon.com. I had them make silver CF trim for my 135i. They're not cheap but it is real CF and it looks fantastic. I sold the 135 or I would post pictures, but pictures didn't do it justice. Looked great in person.

I've used the kits twice: Lexus and Suburban.
Look great. The Lexus was like OE, the Suburban had not previous wood, but the result was fantastic. Ocarbon does not have a listing for an X1

oCarbon didn't have a listing for the 135 either. He'll do anything you want. You may have to send him your trim or pay a core charge in advance but he can do the job.
Any pictures of one of those kits installed?
