Release Date for Canada?

Does anyone know when the X1 will finally be released in Canada? I know the US will most likely be released at the same time (or sooner)

I heard rumours of the spring following the release of the re-designed X3.

Yes, that's what I understand too. I'm going to wait until Sept 2011 'tho and pick up any model year changes.

It's a go!

My wife saw it in Cape Town last week and approves. She especially likes the panorama roof.

That is, until the inner-roof seals disengage from their rails and hang lose into the cockpit.

Then you hate it.

NOOOOO! Say it isn't so.

Is this a common defect? What does BMW do to fix the problem? Is there a TSB for it?

Thanks.

Yep... Although was the only problem that arose after 10 months and 23 000 kms. And frankly between now and April, I doubt it will be an issue (Our Burgundy Dales just got hit by a snow storm... )

Anyway, can't tell you if it's a widespread issue, as there aren't that many
X1s on French roads. I've seen more X1s in The Cotswolds in a week than in France in a year..

The local BMW dealer recommended to slightly glue it, as these seals are supposed to be removed in order to vacuum-clean the outer-roof rails. Go figure.

Definitely very annoying in the Summer... Persol shades and Italian suits are not compatible with a piece of rubber hanging loose behind your head in the cab ...
