Performance control retrofit?
Would it be posssible to retrofit the Performance Control off of the M-sport package onto the xLine or Sport Line?

When you're going around the corner, it works in conjunction with braking control to help you steer around the corner.
If you are turning right, it will boost the power the the left rear wheel, to introduce a controller-able amount of oversteering. Vice versa when you are turning left. In the price list, it can only be added in combination with the sport suspension. So I doubt it can be retro-fitted. |

From what I understand it is only a software program using the AWD distribution, traction and stability control; no hardware changes. So technically it can be retrofit? |

If it is software, then people on the coding forum can tell you whether or not it can be enabled via software. If it truly is just software, then it can be enabled.

I've not driven as X1 without it, so I don't know how much of a difference it actually makes - I just liked the idea of it - bit like steering a tank |

this says it is a retrofit item:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...=33&fg=95&hl=1 unfortunately the dealer here in Australia told me its not available as a retrofit *in Australia* might have more luck overseas. |

Anyone have any updates?
I tried my luck on a BMW coding forum but they are all bastards on there who sneer at anyone who doesn't read the whole forum to learn for themselves.. I just don't understand the technical stuff.. |

I found this:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...g=95&lang=enUS I will call the BMW dealer tomorrow. I want to know if my car has it or not. If not, I want it if not to expensive, on RealOEM it seems to be a hardware unit (control unit?) and some recoding with it. |
