I hate dirty butt. Mudguard time?

Hi all,
Getting annoyed with seeing how dirt shows so prominently on the Alpine White rear end. In addition, grabbing the read liftgate handle coated with dirt.
Am thinking of getting some mudguards. Do you think it will help alleviate this? Our roads are not particularly muddy. I think this year's snow/salt vs. usual rainy winter exacerbates this.

Thoughts/wisdom appreciated.

Helps but maybe not as much as you might think.

They help mostly on the area behind them. I put them on my mineral white and i like the added black accent. I wish they were glossy but I didn't bother spraying them.

Thanks for the response. So what constitutes the amount of rear spray? Seems more than other far hached vehicles. Maybe i'm just sensitive....

Even with mud guards there will be dirt on the rear end - that is natural with most vehicles. That said it does help and like d1saster we like the accent on Mineral White. In the winter time the best indication of how dirty it gets is with the camera. We regularly wipe it off when opening the hatch.

I should note I installed the mud guards on an M-sport package which they are not made for but work with a bit of work.

I have mud flaps in front and rear and I think it helped a lot. It will never be perfect, no hatch vehicle is perfect in regards with this issue. But a pair of mud flaps will make a difference.

Genuine BMW or Chinese Aftermarket?

I am considering mudflaps for my '13 X1. Should I go genuine BMW or find some cheaper Chinese-made ones on eBay? Anyone have experience?
