Power Steering or Tire problem?

Hello, new to the forum here.

I have had an odd problem on my 2015 28i X1 for over a year. 62k miles, 48k when I bought it.

At high speeds (60mph+) after around 45min of continuous driving, the power steering gets noticeably stiffer and less accurate. If I slow down to around 30mph the steering "resets" and will be normal again until another ~20min of 60mph+ driving.

Where I live I rarely drive more than 45min at a time, so I only notice it on longer trips.

In the time I have owned it, it has been serviced once, new run flat tires put on 2 months ago, and the power steering fluid has been checked/changed. These things have not changed the issue at all.

I am taking it to a local mechanic in a few days but wanted to check if you guys have any insight or things I should ask the mechanic to look at.

Thanks
