Issue with heater?

Not sure if I'm the only one here. But since the weather has been getting cold here in Southern California (66°) brrr lol but I have noticed of the areas between 74 and 82° there is no change in temperature. And then as I put it to 84 I can feel it right away. Has anyone else noticed that? Or am I just being a little baby?

It puts out heat before engine gets warm like around 150 deg.

After warm I was checking different settings, and that 72 to 82 deg area has differences.

Yeah, it's taking me longer than usual to warm up the interior of car... which kinda sucks especially mine can't come with a heated stirring wheel. I had to crank up the temp to 84 for it to blow some warm air

Curious, you said "crank it up to 89" the highest temp setting I can increase too is 84. Any one else know the highest temp you can increase too?

I have noticed the same thing to an even greater degree. It has been in the 30's here and the car does not warm up unless I crank it all the way to 84. Then it gets too warm and I turn it down to 80, and it blows cool air. There does not seem to be any in between.

I have experimented a little with this and have found if I direct all the heat to the foot wells, the higher temps ie 75 -80 will blow warmer air than if I direct the heat out the dash vents.

I am not sure what is going on but the heater on this machine is definitely quirky. Figuring it out is a work in progress.

I have found using the Auto function gets warmer/hot air out of the ducts quicker. I too noticed that if I have the temp at say 74 degrees the air will be somewhat cool...but once I hit Auto then it switches to warm air and warms things up quickly. I find using Auto mode works quite well for all temps...the fan speed can be controlled manually if desired even in auto mode.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I wonder if this is something that I can take to the dealer and see what they can do
