Not bad, considering you have a 2.0 60ft time a better launch will get you into the 13.5 range. Brake boost to 2500RPM and then floor it when light hits green, manually shift at 6200RPM each time. What car did you beat there

Depends on what mods you have, it slightly changes the torque curve. Probably didn't matter too much, you just don't want to go to 7000rpm.

Nice! I think that's the fastest stock X1 run, I never ran mine stock and all the magazines had 13.9. What's even more amazing is that you can definitely get that 60ft down even more!

101.49 is a strong trap stock.

To answer your previous question I put the car in M mode. So I put the shifter into sport but pull a paddle to switch into manual before I enter staging at the drag strip. That way I'm already in M1 when I am ready to go.

One more tip - you already know you are supposed to shift around 5500-6000 rpm. But if you are approaching the end of the 1/4 mile and have enough revs left, try to finish without shifting even if you are at 6500-7000RPM. The time you save by not shifting is more than you lose by not being in the torque curve.

You do, you still have more torque on the wheels in the first 4/5(?) gears due to the gearing.

You definitely do not want to shift at 7000 RPM with the N55 engine, especially tuned. The power falls off so hard; this has been tested countless times by the guys in the 335 forums.

Garage List
Shifting at red line is usually a power killer for most cars. Find that sweet spot and set up a shift light for about 200 rpm before it. You'll hit your target every time.
