Parking sensors

My X1 is showing parking sensor malfunction.
Placed my finger and ear to each sensor with car running and in reverse and can’t feel a thing or hear anything. Thinking the module is gone. Where is it located and any suggestions. Have tried the WD-40 trick but it is -6 degrees Celsius here and that didn’t work

The PDC (Park Distance Control) Module sits in the rear passenger side fender well of my x1 35i, accessible through the trunk. I had issues with my backup camera which is why I first went looking in there. It is apparently possible that water can leak into that area and well up, soaking the electronics modules in there.

I fixed the water issue by just drilling a tiny drain hole in the bottom, since it is protected below by shields anyway. Not ideal because of humidity and such now that can leak in, but I can't for the life of me figure out where the water gets in in the first place. The PDC and Backup Camera modules on my car are ruined, but hopefully you have better luck.

Also possible that something got shorted out on it. So checking the fuses for it in the glovebox could also be a solution.
