bmw x1 xline sideskirts

I have a 2014 bmw x1 xline, and i started to dislike the satin side skirts. It makes the car look weird in my opinion. The center of the car looks higher then the front and the back.

So look like this:
Code:
| ______ |
'---O O---'
What do you guys think? Should i for example plastidip it black to make it same high as the front and the back?

Check out the threads where some folks have removed the skirts and painted them to match the car body color.

I agree with you. It was this reason mainly that I decided to go with no line instead of the X-line. That and I preferred the 17" wheels to the 18s.

I'm still thinking of getting the silver grills to look like the X-line, but I thought the silver side skirts and roof rails were a bit too much. I guess it depends what color your car is though. Mine is sapphire black, so I like some silver contrast, but not too much.

Thanks all!

Ive found someone who is selling bmw x1 base side skirts. Only problem is, its from a BMW x1 2010 version (first generation). Since ive a 2014 BMW X1, does the 2010 version fit on mine X1?

Thanks for your time.

I would trade my base side skirts to your xline ones, if it is possible.
