Who would've thought after the scathing Long Term Review they posted recently?

Before we pat each other on the backs, what other competition is in the small luxury crossover category? This is not a crowded segment (yet).

I lol'd when they indicate the Q3 as "one to watch". I was at the auto show today and the specs for the Q3 were 200hp, 8.2 seconds to 60 and a whopping 20/28 MPG. No amount of LEDs in the interior can make up for that dismal performance.

Your right but they didn't have to award any vehicle.

I think the X1's competitors are Buick Encore, Q3, and GLA. Not sure if the GLA was considered yet or not.

I would think the Range Rover Evoque would be a competitor.

I think it's funny....

(paraphrasing)

Long term review: "Why would anyone want to buy this strange car instead of the 3-series wagon??"

2014 review: "Buy the X1 now because it's the last real BMW--the wagon doesn't offer quite as much driving satisfaction!"

HAHA my thoughts exactly when I saw the thread title. The long term review had a much different tone than this one
