Notice this on tire rack recently when getting new pads,

Full package brakes for cheap, pads and rotors

STOPTECH
SELECT SPORT AXLE PACK
Premium, Performance Street

Anyone know what this quality would be?

StopTech makes good rotors. Personally, I went with their slotted ones as drilled is just for looks and can actually weaken the rotor.

Not sure about their pads. I went with Hawk myself.

I can say that both the StopTech rotors and the Hawk pads were highly recommended by a friend of mine with a lot of racing experience (he is a former NASA racing director and races an NP01 himself) for my usage (street and HPDE).

Do a little research...I think you'll find rotors are rotors. If you don't want to paint your own hats, than spring for blanks with coated hats.

Even Chinese iron is good these days. Buy blanks from a reputable source (Centric, etc.) and spend your money on pads.

You definitely do not want/need drilled and/or slotted rotors, period.

Surprised to hear to anything to the contrary from a seasoned track guy. We buy cheap blank rotors in bulk! They last just as long as name-brand rotors costing 2-4x as much.

Edit: Clicked your link. That's not bad pricing, but those appear to be uncoated hats. They'll rust and look ugly, so if you care about that sort of thing, best to either prepare to paint yourself, or look elsewhere. I'd say bottom line, those are cheap rotors and cheap pads. Getting what you pay for (which isn't a bad thing).

Yeah I was getting some hawk stuff but noticed it was a new product, I'm doing all new shoes, brakes and suspension on an x1, thought this could be a good cheap route for a daily driver.
