Here on the SA configurator you have to explicitly choose the paddy steering as an option on the 20d.

You can do the same with the auto gearstick. But when you need it in a lower gear floor the accelerator pedal and hit the switch behind. Down change is instant. Took me a few weeks before I noticed it.

Congratulations! Why do you have to wait 2-3 weeks?

That's quite a wait Only takes a couple of days here. In most cases the dealers register and order the plates before they get the car so all they have to do is pre-delivery inspection. I suppose the fact that they don't get their money before they hand over the keys may have something to do with it.

Hey, because of the overloaded Leipzig plant I'll be getting my car in April if I'm lucky. 3 weeks? Piece of cake.

No I meant Pepe's wait for licencing. But I've asked the dealer to sort it out for me - charging a fair bit but I can do without the stress.

OK, I see now. How long have you been waiting?

So around 4 months to delivery? It was about three months when I ordered mine but then I am a lot closer to the factory. Wonder what its like now as my local dealer says demand has increased dramatically after the severe snow we have had at the start of winter.

Just had another thought, wonder what the european wait times are going to be like when production shifts to India?

Maybe this warrants a separate thread?
