Brand New X1 M Sport Just Arrived
I ordered this 2012 BMW X1 M Sport 2 month ago and it finally arrived. It has every possible options and it's one of the very few actual M Sport around in entire Canada since it was special ordered and most people don't know that you can even get this model in Canada for 2012.
Mineral White with black leather interior. Just some preliminary photos.... surprised to see that it came with Good Year Efficient Grip tires instead of Pirelli Centurino. |

Nice car. Are those 18 or 19" wheels? Are those Goodyears All Season or Summer Performance?

Thanks everyone! I just got it yesterday so I am still enjoying its "freshness". This is a 2012 X1, but it is virtually identical to the LCI 2013 version coming out in the fall for US because BMW decided to keep the styling of 2013 LCI same as 2012 for the M Sport version only. The only change for 2013 is the side marker lamps and the side mirrors, and possibly the wheels. These are optional 18" wheels riding on Good year summer tires staggered with 225-45-18 front and 255-40-18 rear. The exterior paint is called mineral white and it is basically a metallic white with a bit of matt-like sheen so it almost looks semi glossy and it is beautiful!

By the way, I noticed that these Good Year's ride quite different than the Pirelli's. I've driven both back to back now and the Pirelli's handle slightly better, though the ride is also a bit more harsh and firm. The Good Year's are quieter and ride a bit more soft, but the handling is also a bit more mushier. I think as BMW plans ahead for US launch, it is beginnnig to equip all X1s with Good Year's as their softer ride and feel are likely better match for American taste.

What were your leather color options in Canada? I went on the Canadian site and it looked like there was only black, beige and a reddish brown.

For leather, it's avail in black, red brown, and beige, yes that is correct. I believe you can also special order the regular brown but only some dealers know to special order. I have the black in mine.

M sport is $4000 plus $400 for special order. This X1 has the 2.0 turbo and it's fantastic engine. I am glad that I got the 2012 model as I don't want the start and stop which will be std for 2013. If you guys are in Vancouver you should deal with Philip Tang at BMW store ...he is the best BMW sales person I've dealt with.
