Yeah, this is one fine looking automobile... a bit of purposeless, 2 door SUV but maybe it will be like work of art.. with no real purpose.

looks better in the vid. too bad they didn't pick a better color for the concept.

i have to agree with the others that it does look better than an x3.

It takes 7-8 years from initial design to beginning of production so the X6 was around in 2002-2003 as a development concept. Back then SUVs were a hot ticket. The sales of smaller SUVs has actually been better because a lot of large SUV drivers have been downgrading. You also have to account the worldwide consumption, there is still a demand for large cars in the middleast and Russia. That region now has the money and the fuel to afford large cars.

Not to mention China!

Some of the major manufacturers are going to make exclusive models for the chinese market (Mercedes-Benz for example).

As for the X1 I'm not so sure. The X3 is already pretty small so will the X1 be like a Matrix in size or what?
I love the X6 and I like this X1.

As for the size the current X3 is actually very close in size to the original X5 (actually slightly larger inside due to better packaging).

With the X5 increasing in size to have a third row, the new X3 will go into the old X5 territory leaving a spot for a smaller SUV to compete with say the EX35.

Its a great idea especially if its fuel efficient enough.

i still think it's ugly - because of thee front, but rear end is very good design and is growing on me fast. the color sucks - should have used Blue or something, or may be like M3 Dakar Yellow or something or even white.

anyway, im sure itll grow on me - in profile it's nicer then X3, but let's wait for X2 Coupe - may be they get the shape right this time as well... fingers crossed.

wohoo, whatever, more bimmers for the masses, bring it on.

X2 looks nicer then x1 but would be completely stupid for BMW to produce being its a two door SUV.. X6 in my opinion is really nice and unique. But useless as well unless you have a spare 70k laying around and you just want a cool looking SUV(Being it only has 4 seats)

looks way bigger than I thought. The F1 7 series-esq grill doesn't seem to work so well here.

I was expecting sth smaller and meaner looking...

too close to x3 which is too close to x5.

FAIL

now the x2 pics, if they are indeed from bmw and not some photochop are beautiful...

I love the X6, defn consider that or the X5 as my next car.

The X1 looks like a Hyundai Santa Fe from certain angles, gona reserve judgement till I see it in person.
