Winter wheel set up question
I have a set o 142 style wheels from my 135i, 17x7 ET 47. I wanted to save some money and use these for my 2013 x1 winter wheels. The standard off set for a 7.5 wheel foe the X1 is 34. My thought is to add 12 mm spacers (hub centric and proper bore of course) this will bring my off set to 35., any thoughts negative or positive? By the way I'm thinking of 215/50/17 Dunlop M3 winter sports. What about the break clearance?

I have the same question but on wheels/tires from my e90 328. Is it a matter of comparing the offset and making up the difference with a spacer?

I have an old set of 15 mm spacers that we're on my 2006 e90 330i, they seem to fit the wheel of my 142 rims. I think this may work however I bet BMW won't install these for warranty issues.

Come on Tirerack I need some winter shoes...
€1751.28 (ohne VAT) for BMW OE winter wheel/tire combo (17") valve stems, RDC, center caps-think I'll go this route. Time to order up some wheel studs and lug nuts.
