Wheels and drop

Hi there just got a 15 x1 s28i coming from a Mustang 5.0.
My h&r springs will be here tomorrow and I'll install this week hopefully if I got time to do so. My question is i want to get some 20x8.5 et35 all around bbs reps I found online. Will i have any problems with rubbing? Here's what my 5.0 looked like

Welcome. What's the story with the Mustang-to-X1? Or is the X1 your daily driver in addition to the Mustang?

Plenty of room for an 8.5" wheel with a 35 offset. You may want spacers even.

Stock offset is 30mm, and what size tires are you going to use?

Use this link...http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

Thinking of using 245/35/20 or higher sidewall like 40 if it can fit

Car is slow enough as it is without killing the gearing like that. I'd stick to stockish overall height. If you're worried about the ride, how about 19s?

You may want in the neighborhood of 15mm spacers.

If you are using 225 tires all around just keep same width wheel. Since its rwd though why not at least do the factory staggered setup?

Ok so I've been dropped on h&r for 5 days now and bought some 19x8.5 19x9.5 et35 all around. Will 245/40/19 work all around? I like the slight meaty look.

You'll have clearance issues on the front wheels while turning.

So will I need a smaller tire? Will the new wheels make any contact with the suspension?

225 is standard up front.
Your wheel will be fine with the 8.5 and et35. If not, you always have spacers to adjust the strut clearance. You'll just get rubbing on the inner fender when turning, it's not that big of a deal.
I'd just use the spec'd stagger from bmw on the tires. You'll probably end up buying 15mm spacers anyway to push all the wheels further out

Did you have to get spacers for the front to be flush with fenders? I'd like to be flush

No spaces needed, it's flush all the way around.
