How to route this cable?

Hi, I have an MMI Box from droid uk

I know it works, I just can’t figure out the best way to route the cable from the idrive controller back to the MMI box

I think the best bet would be to remove this piece of trim and run the cable behind it, but I can’t get the trim off, it doesn’t seem to unclip

Any ideas? Any better way to do it? Struggling here
