I was wondering if anyone could help me with advice.

I have unfortunately fallen to the dreaded timing chain snapped issue on my BMW X1 and that has rendered my engine basically dead as per th mechanic

Am looking to replace the engine . Would like advice on if I can put a an X5 engine in it
