LED Tail Lamps - Black Line Retrofit for the X1

You need to get the Blackline High version for it to be LED. However you need to code the LCM for non Xenon vehicles. There could also be harness (wire) issues, so ask your dealer before you place the order.

Unlike your headlamps there is no RHD/LHD distinction.

You can get it here. With the shipping it works out to be Euro 300.

The Black Line LED Taillamp rerofit kit part number is : 632 12 167 285

Good Luck

The sensatec seats are a waste - they are virtual BUM burners,,, will be replacing mine with real leather & alcantara....

Mate, are the Bi-Xenon headlamps a direct retrofit or do they need modification done if upgrading from the standard halogen bulbs...

OEM Valeo Bi Xenons are not plug and play. First you need to add two wires, pin 2 for the ground and pin 5 for the positive. Pin 5 connects to pin 41 on the FRM.

After the wiring is the code, halogen is 50 ad xenon is 35 watts, so you need to fix that.

OEM Valeo Xenon was 415 euros, they came with the ignitors, DS1 and H8 bulbs.

Fineline wood trim cost me 600 euros.

Yes all OEM options are available in India: two issues though, usually parts take a month to get after order and the cost is approximately double the cost of Germany.

As someone in Europe, I find the situation bizarre that you have to buy your car, then effectively have to retrofit/rebuild half of it to get it to the point of what you originally wanted, all because BMW thought they knew best what the market wanted and didn't offer Factory fit.

Fair play to you guys - you must really like the X1, or BMW. I would probably have purchased a different car than go through the hassle!

Mate I think "ecoveon" from India is lucky that he finally got what he wanted for less than $60,000.

Here in Sri Lanka we are much less fortunate, cos there are 3 models on offer in Sri Lanka. The cheapest been duty free X1 for the Government executives who are given non transferable permits, which is a extremely basic sdrive20d without alloy wheels, PDC, leather seats, Auto AC, or any other standard option and still cost around USD 58,000 on the road.

The duty paid (for general public) standard Sdrive20i on the road cost around USD 100,000
and the standard sdrive20d cost around USD 150,000.

so luxury doesn't come cheap in this part of the world!

In Singapore there is only one model for the X1. The 18i sDrive and that is going for 190,000, or 160,000USD.
But HIDs (are they the same as bi-xenons?), nevada leather, memory seats are standard.
& these cars have absolutely no value. Cos you can get a 1 year old one on the resale market for 50,000 less.

Is that just for the X series, or all BMWs?

Are all cars that expensive, and is that deliberate to encourage public transport use?

Uhm... generally cars in Singapore are really expensive.
They have this piece of paper that you have to buy in order to own a car. It's called the Certificate of Entitlement and it is only for 10 years. One of this piece of paper is going for between 50k to 70k depending on the engine capacity of the car.
They keep reducing the amount of COEs basically, like you said, to encourage public transport. But I mean afterall, it's still an asian country and what you drive determines how successful you are. & cos everyone out there is concerned about their "face" they just go along with it. I mean, the people keep complaining about all these extra costs, but if you really want a car then you aint got a choice.
I was looking it up and i saw an M3 coupe is going for 385,000. Even a basic honda civic is going for 110,000. With all these japanese cars going for over 100k, the demand for continental cars are increasing.
Apparently, toyota used to be the number one car sold in singapore but now it's BMW!
