Details on the X3 M-sport and X1 M-sport packages have already been available, but the first virtual configurator has come online - at BMW UK website.

Interested owners can now use the visualizer to preview the X3 M-sport and X1 M-sport in various configurations of exterior colors, interior colors, and wheels.

The UK configurator can be found at http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/ecom4/fra...-bmwuk,00.html

I've played with the X1 M-Sport configurator. The 18" wheel is nice, the black alcantara interior is nice, the Le Mans Blue is nice, but the bodykit does not convince me at all. I'll never choose one over a normal full X-Line option.

And what bugs me is that they offer the bottom exterior chrome strip (a la x23d) as an option with the M package for any engine, this should be made a normal option.

I'm amazed how much the M-package does for the X1. Looks great!

Pretty much two camps on this one, either you like it or you dont. I am with the last, ie don't like it on X1 because:

1. Its (largely) purely cosmetic (and yes I know the suspension is lowered).
2. Its going to affect the X1's offroad ability in that it will reduce the approach/depart angles.

As I said on another thread, on a proper X1M, different story.

Same here - I don't like it one little bit.

Although saying that, I don't like the M sport models of the X3 or X5 either - not a fan of the full colour coding. Plus I'm a bit of an M purist

I lived in Africa for a while and we used to take bits off 4x4's which would cause hassles offroad.

Depends on colour choice but I like for example the silver/grey or white/grey contrast.
