Nice one!
Seems to be a big difference in prices on your side of the pond. We only get the 20i which starts at £28500 which is over $40K for the basic SE. There are some good discounts around at the moment though. On the plus side though we do get a good choice of diesels.......... |

Yeah, a diesel option would have been nice. If I had been buying instead of leasing, I would have preferred the Mercedes GLK with the diesel. But BMW was offering a really good lease and Mercedes was not, so even though both cars were within $4k of each other in MSRP, the lease prices were about $120/month apart.

Yeah, but lease prices are usually residualized. So if the difference between the value of the cars is $4k, then usually you would only pay about half of that amount in the lease payments and the other half would be on the back end buyout option at the end of the lease.

Great deal
Eric, this seems like a great lease deal, are you paying anything up front upon taking delivery?
I'm in CT and for a similarly equipped X1 at 36 mos with 12k/yr the monthly payment is 379 with 1500 out of pocket at delivery. |

I don't have the numbers in front of me now, but the upfront fees look something like this: $950 (NJ sales tax) $360 (first payment) $725 (bank fee) $300 (doc fee) $325 (NJ registration) Their doc fee is a bit outrageous, but they gave me the car for less than invoice, so it all evens out. I could have done about $15/month better if I was eligible for the $500 loyalty cash, but I haven't owned a BMW since 2009 so I wasn't eligible. |
