E84 X1 strange buzzing sound when key inserted

Hi all,

Need some help.

I have a 2011 X1 S Drive (basic model no I drive)
When you insert the key into the ignition there is a fairly high pitched electrical buzz, the noise continues when you start the engine and for the whole time you drive. It only stops when you press the key to turn off the car.

Has anyone else experienced this annoying noise????

Noise sounds like it’s coming from the boot.
No sound by the fuel cap so don’t think it’s the fuel pump
