Empty Button, Traction Control Panel

Has anyone ever seen an X1 with the 6th button on the right labeled for something?
Buttons that don't do anything bug me and I'm curious if it was just an afterthought for something they didn't implement or an option not in the US market.

Mine doesn't even come with the PDC button so I've got two blanks. Which is frustrating because I have PDC but can only activate it via reverse gear.

Wondering if just getting a new panel with the PDC button would work, or if it could be the same fix as for rear fog lights.

BTW, have you tried opening up that panel and seeing if there is a button underneath?

Garage List
I would have liked to see the steering heater on that button. Currently it is on the steering column with a little light that is impossible to see by the driver, passenger has a great view of it though ;-)

Yeah I'm with you on that one. I end up having to wait until I'm at a red light to check due to its placement. I would have preferred it on the top end of the steering wheel panel, or at least an indicator light somewhere as the button itself is ok.

+1
Maybe I will accept the button in there but I would like to see somewhere in the display the status instead of checking the status when I am at a red light...

Hmmm, installing a console button and rewiring it to the steering wheel warmer is a great idea. I have a friend who prints decals for model airplane. He can probably print one for a more OEM look. It'd be even better if the existing button on the column would mount right in the console.
