New Member - Introducing Myself

Hey guys,

My name's Kyle, I'm new to the forum and I just wanted to introduce myself. I ordered up my X1 a few weeks ago and I'm awaiting delivery. I'm coming from an Audi A4 Ultra Sport, where I was a member on Audizine.com. The A4 had a pretty extensive mod list, that included a fully built 2.0L stroker and big turbo. I don't plan on modding the X1 at all, except for the possibility of some performance black kidney grilles. I need this car to be a solid daily driver (where I'm not tempted by mods) with a little more cargo area, as my wife and I just welcomed out 1st son into our life on December 1st. Anyhow, I look forward to being on this forum and learning a bit more about the E84 and contributing what I can.

Hi Kyle, welcome to the forum. I just took delivery of my X1 on Friday. I actually optioned mine very similar to yours. I got the Xdrive28i since I have to deal with the Northeast winter weather, but I also got the Technology & Lighting packages, Black Leatherette interior, and then instead of the Sport Line I went with the regular standard line and got sapphire black paint.

I'm also debating whether or not to add the black grills. I'm not really sure if it will be too much black. I do have a bit of silver trim in the lower front and rear bumpers, but other than the tail pipes there is no other chrome than on the front grills, so it looks a bit out of place.

Welcome and congrats on the newborn! Looks like your X1 and mine will be coming CONUS together. Mine is at the same stage.
