Finally found my complete service history from the original dealer (I bought used and was in the dark for a bit). I currently have 76k miles and, looking back, the ONLY failure was the waterpump at 58k miles (right before I bought it). Pretty nice intel.

I am about to roll past 80k. I replaced disks and breaks...tires and oil and that's it. Could be the beat car I've ever owned. I love this thing.
I was thinking about getting another one with lower miles and 4wd. Then I saw the x2. I might hold onto this for another year or two then pick up a 1 year old x2. |

119K, definitely the best car I ever owned. Saw the X2 at the dealer, may be my next car also. But I am going to see how far I can take the X1 with no major problems. So far, none!!

$500 per corner for brakes is insane, dealer or not...charging it or paying it. How in the hell do all 4 calipers go bad? You got taken by your repair shop/dealer. No mention of rotors. Either way...

Anyways... The brake are all that you noticed from that list? Labor is included too. I had no choice but to get it done at the dealer. They wouldn't let me leave with the car they said it would have been too dangerous. The BMW dealer the closest from where I live is 500 km away so yeah. 150us = 195can for the part 150can per hour labor. 1.5 hour 225+195 = 420.. It's close. Anyways I had an extended warranty with another company so the 10K they paid it but the car still is always at the Shop. Not reliable at all. My girlfriend has the same year same model and she has ZERO problems smh |

Cooled down a bit with the miles (especially after getting my 09 328i). At about 61k now, that's only 12k in 7 months vs 20k. Saved 3k miles since the e90, would have been 4k but had some downtime due to a bent rim and broken driver mirror.

2013 X1 35i xdrive M-sport - 75,000 mi.
-Bought CPO with 19k mi. -New Tires Conti Xtreme Contact - 45k -New Front Differential (covered - dealer near seen before) - 45k -New Water Pump (covered) - 50k -New Front Brakes (covered) - 50k -New Rear Brakes (self) - 70k -New Rear Diff Seal (covered) - 73k Pretty much just oil and filters every 10k. CPO warranty has been a godsend given the Front Diff and Water Pump failures...It comes off this December Otherwise, amazing car, would only look for a newer 3-series given the chance. |

Just purchased used 2014 X1 35i
Just purchased my X1 35i used with 60,000 miles on it. All records show no issues before my purchase (all maintenance done at dealer), I have driven 5000 miles so far and no issues. Will update in a year or so:

Yeah, go and replace your chain and chain assembly asap. For N20 is not an "if" is a "when". Strongly suggest to do that.
I will come back soon with my story, overly maintained vehicle and my engine is no more. |

Purchased new 2013 X1 x28 12/31/12, 135000 miles, many small problems, no big ones yet. Had oil smoke at startup for awhile but that went away, replaced wastegate actuator, plugs twice, thermostat and temp sensor, coolant leak, tires every 50k or so, now AC is out.

Love my 14 X1 35i Xdrive
Purchased my 2014 X1 35i with 60k miles. All maintenance records from dealer show nothing major, oil changes and plugs. So far so good after driving 10k miles. I didn't get an extended warranty. I'm a big preventative maintenance believer so hopefully she hold together. My first BMW and absolutely love it! Glad I went with the V6
