As an American living in northern Italy, X1's are a dime a dozen over here. However, I seem to have the only Valencia Orange X1 around at least in the Venice, Padova, Treviso and Vicenza Italy areas. X1's have been out here in Europe since late 2009. I travel about 60 miles each way to work on the Highway near the cities I just mentioned and have not seen one Orange X1 besides mine and another American's on the nearby Aviano Air Force base. Not sure if that color is available for Italy. Mine is a US Spec, sDrive 28i, w/M-Sport package. The main X1 colors I see over here are Black, Brown, Grey and White.

I've noticed a lot comments on youtube when doing my own research is a very mixed bag from loving it to down right hating the looks of the X1. I guess you can say that with any & every car but even for me it took me a while to start liking it. Maybe this is the reason for the slow buyer response. A lot BMW potentials I think were waiting on the 4 & 2 series.

One of the small pleasures of owning a Wrangler is the 'Jeep wave' owners give each other. It caught me by surprise 10 years ago, and I still enjoy it today. I regret that Bimmer owners have no such camaraderie. Moon |

It's funny you say that. I live in Charlotte too, and rarely see other x1's. I just picked mine up a few weeks ago, and last Saturday I actually saw 4 in the same day, 2 at the same intersection at kings by the hospital. So including me, 3 were at the intersection!

Ordered a Midnight Blue x1 i35 from dealer. Technically he pulled one enroute to another dealer that was to sit in inventory so saved me time. Live in Westchester NY and to this day I have not seen one anywhere in my commute to upper Manhattan. Get to pick it up by Saturday or first wk of Feb. Can definitely agree with seeing mixed bag of comments all around online. But then again that's from ppl who usually hate BMW to begin with. I think the x1 is great and a perfect mix of usability. Can't wait to take it on the road as the daily commuter, especially considering this cold and snowy weather we've been having.

its been a little more then a year since they started selling the E84 around here. and i see about one a day. compered to me seeing at least 100 3 sedans a day and about 40 of the 5 series, ill see about 40 X5's,20 X3's..ect.. but only one a day if not any... still have not see one rolling around here looking better than mine but i also have an E88 and i only see one maybe in a month... and the rarest sighting would be the Z4, maybe one in a three months

I have yet to see an X1 on the road back home. Have seen tons of Z4s on Maui though and all the other X's (except the X6) here but no X1. Back home seems you can't spit without hitting a 3 series or a 7 series!

I've owned Z4's and M3's in the past(old M3's) and often got a wave or flash or thumbs up and even others walking up for a quick chat while refuelling. Was collecting my groceries last week and the guy at the store said "oh, that's a nice looking car" - first comment I have had on the X1 since owning it (since august 2012) |

I rarely see other X1's in the south bay area, but up in Marin I see quite a few. Still haven't seen a "twin" yet though. which honestly I find kind of nice=)
It also takes me a beat or two to figure out if its an X3 or not. (which usually it is) I got waves all the time when I bought my 2002 subaru wrx from other wrx owners. as time went on the waves stopped...until this last year when when I passed another 2002 going the other way and got a huge wave. as if to say "you still driving one as well?!" Its been almost three months with X1 and no waves =) |

I see several every day. At a minimum the white one across the street and a red one on my way home from work and usually one or two at work or enroute.
