Jetta isn't exactly a luxury brand. Volvo did offer cloth in the S40/V50 in the US market. Back in the day, vinyl interiors were considered el cheapo even in comparison to cloth. That's my frame of reference.

Hi,
when you stop your car at a red traffic light, the engine stops. When you release the break it starts automatically (automatic transmission). This feature is part of the BMW Efficient Dynamics which helps you to save fuel. If you have a manual transmission car, the engine turns off when you put the stick shift to "neutral", release the clutch and the speed drops below 1-2mp/h. The moment you press the clutch-pedal the engine turns back on. Great feature - I like it very much. BTW: To see those U.S. prices makes me totally jealous bye Darky |

The prices are very competitive compared to Europe ones
But here you can choose many options without being necessary to buy a package.. Comparing cloth to vinyl, it's a night and day difference in the favour of cloth |

Even in Canada we pay about 6-7 K more for the same X1 . On other hand the prices for F30 are roughly the same

Again, look at the picture of the orange X1 28 which does not have M sport yet the seats are sport seats.

Also, rear wheel drive is not great on snow if you are not into sliding Each to their own - I love the extra traction I get from the AWD. Ibe also noted the disappointment others have expressed on this forum (though not all!) with the lower spec sDrive and 18 diesel models. |

Not sure their display model reflects all us option package restrictions as they may have been working on that right up until the show. However, if they come standard, why would they be listed on the equipment included in the M-Sport package? Also, I've bought a couple of (non-M) BMWs over the years and sport seats never came standard. I'd really be shocked if sport seats were standard at such a low price point for the X1. Hopefully I'm wrong. I don't really care about most of the stuff in the M-Sport package except for sport seats (can't live without them after having two cars with them and driving a loaner without them) and the sport suspension (we'll see about the latter after a test drive of one without it).

IMO, the 35i is a huge disappointment with the old 6AT, no thanks.
