If I'm not mistaken RB starts on softs which might not be a good idea. But looking forward to watching the race when I get up after a long night of mma and boxing lol.

I have a sick feeling that ruining those mediums will come back to haunt him. I just don't see Max holding him off. So what tire will he have to go onto? The hards since that was his only medium set? That'll definitely ruin his chances if thats the case no?

Max found out by a mistake on the mediums that he was perfect on the softs on the long runs.

Max hasn't any new mediums I think so if he goes well on the softs for a distance then as the car gets lighter he may not opt for using the used mediums.

In short :
HONDA Japan and Red Bull Powertrains have for this last race of the season refurbished MAX's HONDA PU .
Currently It's still unclear if it is MAX's spec. 3 or 4 HONDA PU , but everything went according the FIA regulations .

Interesting fact is that HAM and MAX ran today during the QF's with the PU's at 120 % !
It's very clear that MAX's refurbished HONDA PU is the antidote for HAM's ROCKETSHIP !
On the other hand : MAX was forced to run with softs and a tow to beat HAM , that's how fast HAM's Rocketship really is !

This is complete and utter rubbish. The engines are sealed between races. ANY parts changed within the engine would mean a penalty the same as a new engine. This is why the PU at Silverstone was scrapped.

Regs could have suddenly changed but blanking plates are placed over the exhaust outlets that allow for only minor inspection.

How? The only set he has are the ones with the flat spot which he says were pretty significant. Not saying VER couldn't run back on those but that's a huge gamble and risking a potential blowout even if its at the end of the race with less fuel load.

It's a bold choice by Red Bull, because Hamilton is ace in catching up. If no mishap happens, Hamilton is gonna give Verstappen a run for his money.

RB has really good long run pace on the softs as shown in FP2. But it is a bold gamble on full fuel, and used softs that already have some laps on them. What makes it sketchier is if they get hot and induce understeer or oversteer and Max hits those sketchy curbs. That would not be good because that might actually be a tire blow out.

IDK I guess we will see soon, by that I mean you guys will see it first then I will watch the recording in the morning because I will be up all night watching Loma box, and some good ol mma (Dustin, Charles, Amanda, O'malley, garbrandt etc) all night long lol.

Part of the equation: the track temperature drops during dusk and darkness. That allows to stretch the softs longevity a little more during the race. Not substantial but enough to pit later.
