X1 Production Stopping for August
I have just been informed that there may be a delay in the delivery of my X1. European production of the model is to be put on hold for the whole of August
![]() Anyone have more info on this? Possibly changes for the 2011 model year? Last edited by mario486; 06-21-2010 at 11:37 AM. Reason: Update |

Sorry mozdal but my local BMW dealer did not know about this shutdown and they have been in the business many years. Also, all builds are being re-prioritised on 1 July 2010. Some deliveries may be speeded up and others delayed until later in September.

That's what I was heard from one of my friends, he also had to wait 1 more month for a 320d coupe and he was informed by the dealer that factory has an annual summer break in August. But I really don't know the correctness of the information.

As others have mentioned, BMW traditionally shuts production in the late summer and when they start up again, the models that come off the line are the next years MY.
