I like the front on both, but BMW's back takes the cake. I dislike the fact that the rear hatch door opens up higher on the Audi.
Nonetheless, both are great products.

Also, the Audi interior is the benchmark; BMW is getting better at it but not quite at the Audi level. Just my opinion.

The real issue is that BMW does not put in the quality interior designs like they devote to the sedans and Z models. All X vehicles suffer with a poor arrangement inside as well as the one series. Look at the 3,5, and 7 series, they all have the best interior designs vs the competition (IMHO). They just need to stop being so cheap really.... their concepts and phillosophy about their X & 1er are completely different with an ugly attitude. they need to get rid of that and make people believe that they are in a BMW when they sit in the cabin, there should be certain standards applied throughout all models, but its just not the case. I hate it, but it doesnt bother me as I have an E90 so i have absolutely no complaints.

I'm still a little confused as to why this thing exists. Sure, it looks awesome. I have nothing against it at all. I am only puzzled by BMW's intentions with it. I mean, has anyone who purchases an X3 been like "Damn, I wish it was smaller." Can anyone tell me what the target audience is with the X1?
