From that angle, it looks a lot like it.

AFAIK, this will be smaller than the Venza. The shape, target market, and practicality might be similar, but other than that, I'm not see'ing much of a connection in actual styling.

That 7er cracks me up...
I see a Toyota Venza, I mean BMW X1.

Being an "enthusiast" I would never buy one, not RWD, etc, etc, but I do like the way it looks...
Well the wife and I looked at it as well, and we are low-mid 20's. I'm not saying that young people won't be interested in it, but I think they are still going after the baby-boomer's, and many reviews I have read agree. We liked it too and I think it is a good vehicle, but not for us.

Those in the US should NOT expect to see this when the ROW does, this is not an all markets vehicle. From what I hear this will not be coming to the US (for a while) as there is no market for it currently, where it makes sense in other markets. The next models for the US will the X6 Hybrid and F07 5er GT, X5 facelift etc... Nothing to get excited about just yet.....

I don't think it looks bad at all, and the right color/wheel combination will really accentuate the styling.

The next X3 will probably look more like the TOYOTA VENZA in size.

Can't get much worse than the X3, those things are horrible.

There is nothing stopping BMW from making the X3 a good-looking car. They just don't want to eat into the X5 sales any more than they have too.

I like it--wish we had some more pics, and other color combos.

I agree with the person that said the piss gold color was horrible on the concept--sometimes you can't get past the color in order to really see the lines....I am much more impressed by this offering......

uhhh...no. The X3 is a competitor with the Q5 and GLK. The X1 will be the Venza competitor. Looks just like it too.

I was hoping that the X1 would be closer in size to the Q5 and X3, since I prefer the Q5 over the X3 in all respects. Part of the reason is that the X3 is at the end of the model cycle, while the Q5 is new and fresh. I assume that the X1 is more like a raised A3?
