3M adhesive remover normally works well if you wet a towel with it and hold it in place it will soften up the adhesive without damaging the paint. Keeping the adhesive damp(not dripping or puddling) will help. A heatgun or hairdryer can help as well. The Eraser wheel (aka: wheelof1000thumbs) is a dangerous device when used on plastics or previously repainted parts. Go slow, you can really botch up a paint job with one. For removal of badges in recessed places or just in general I like to used the plastic bands off shipping boxes. Take a 10-12 inch length and grip tightly or roll up on a wooden dowel at each end. Lay flat against the surface and slip the edge under the offending emblem then saw back and forth while drawing the strap towards you. If the strap frays up or breaks just roll it out on one side and in on the other. You can remove just about anything mounted with double sided tape this way without gouging or srcaping the paint. Any marks left by the strap can be hand rubbed with compound to remove. Cheers!
