Charge pipe/ Down pipe
Haven't decided if I'm going to do this or not yet, but what do you guys think about $500 to install a charge & boost pipe along with a down pipe?

$500 for a charge pipe install? That include the charge pipe? Because... Charge pipe is $218 with all unnecessary hardware, and it's not a $272 install.... Or is that just install for charge and downpipe?

Cost to install all three: charge, boost and down pipes.
I could always skip the boost pipe, but most of the charge pipes I'm seeing for the N20 come with both.

Could be a weekend project but considering you need a lift to drop the subframe for the downpipe... I’m sure this is answered but how do you take care of the codes generated by removing the cat that’s in the downpipe? Is there a resistor to put on the O2 sensor?

I don't know that it completely solves this but I would go with a catted downpipe. The catted aftermarket ones still have significantly improved flow.

What's your shop charge for labor?
Seems like that's probably about 3.5 hrs of labor, or somewhere in that neighborhood? I couldn't install all three items in 3.5 hrs on my own. It's up to you if it's "worth it" or not. Any local BMW guys do semi-regular "install days"? |

I don't know what the boost pipe is but if you're not considering doing the work yourself I think this is a fair price. I don't know what the downpipe install on the N20 looks like. The first time I did it on my N55 it took me about 3 hours from start to finish. Now I can do it in about 1 hour.
