New HID on non-xenon
I just installed a 6000K HID kit in place of the halogens. Much whiter and brighter (3200 lumens). No error message. Only problem is that there's no upper cut-off like the projection lights.
I noticed on the new 428i, they don't have projection lights. They use the same housing as for the halogen lights (multi-faceted mirrors), but with a built-in shield above the HID bulb to create an upper limit on the beam of light. |

I was looking at my halogen lamps last night, I think HID's in them won't be as bad, there is a cover over the end that is build into the reflector, it will block the britest point and the little civics with HIDs don't have and burn your eyeballs.
I might see you in Burnaby (metrotown)? I will be up there from Seattle all this week on business, I'll be in the blue M-sport with out of country tags, he he |
