Auto high beams may be nice if you live in the country. There are some reports that reflection of road signs confuse it and in the City it's mostly useless. Or if you're the type of person that forgets your brights are on until after you've passed a car.

They're okay - yes, they can get confused by the reflection from speed limit signs, and they are way too slow to turn back on again (so do that manually), but otherwise, it's a nice function.

I'm pretty sure that is an error on their build site. The order guide I have which is basically just the options list and combinations states for coral red leather is only available with the sport line:
"LUTZ: Leather 'Nevada' Coral Red/Leather Piping Grey-Black In combination with ZSL LUTZ requires ordering ZSL" LUTZ being the code for the red leather and ZSL being the code for Sport Line. I'm pretty sure that what you're seeing on the BMW website is wrong. |

We are taking delivery of our 2014 X1 Msport with coral red leather interior in the next week or so.
We were one of those customers who originally were told the combo was not possible on 2014's. As a result we placed our first order with black leather interior but soon afterward read on here about people being able to special request coral red interior on their Msports. We spoke with our dealer who made a few calls and gratefully they were able to make it happen.

I just ordered the X1 sDrive28i today. The sales manager received the email from BMW indicates all the future order will include the Servotronic. Therefore, it become standard and not optional. I save $250.

Not exactly; the 6s is actually the 6HP19Z/TU (technical upgrade), also known as 6HP21Z, same as in the 335i. The max torque is actually 450nm/331lb/ft.

So net-net, it's the same spec, at least according to ZF, as the 8s. It will be interesting to see if the end of production of the E82 and E88 (the only other BMW's still using the 6s) will coincide with a switch to the 8s for the 35i too. |

I have 2 questions about the 2014 X1 XDrive 2.8i:
-Does it still have hydraulic steering? -Can the motor's auto start/stop be disabled so that it does not have to be turned off each time you get in the vehicle? Thanks very much! |
