lowering x1 35i

i was looking for previous thread on lowering the x1, i read that you can use another model car springs on x1, as h and r has it available in Europe, does anyone have info on this and how much it lowers it, i remember x drive 3 series being the vehicle, thanks for the help

IMNSHO, the best way to lower an X1 35i is to trade it in for a 335i Sports Wagon.
I can see some buying an X1 to rake it, but lower it all over?

Endless Details has lowered his 3". I wouldn't do it personally, but it looks better than the F31 wagon IMO.

Everyone of all ages and styles has liked it a lot... Everyone that comes to the shop loves it and has expressed interest in it. Most people were iffy before it was lowered because the X1 has a high ride height for its size especially the M Package ones... Once I lowered it everyone's tune changed and says that this is how it should have come. And for you all anti lowering SUV people, it is my daily, it has snows on, and there is nowhere I haven't been able to go with it including a rutted gravel driveway 1,000 feet long through the woods and it handles close to the way my e92 did.

As nospam says, Endless Details lowered his with E9x xDrive KW items. I've since picked up X1 specific KW's and noted a couple of the differences HERE

Honestly, it drives much better. At least in standard form (can't speak as to lowering it).

We modify all of our vehicles... My X1 drives great. It handles way better than stock. It does naturally ride a bit stiffer due to being on coilovers but I also run my shocks and struts pretty firm. The V3s can be adjusted much softer and would ride better than stock if you wanted. I live in CT and had it out all day Friday as Nemo rolled in and it was fine. I run blizzaks on the factory 18s. It is a blast to drift in the snow as well and handled it great.
