Checked with Dinan again on the X1 as they were asking me customer questions and here's the rep's response.
"We are working on it and no shame for inquiring again! I wish I had some software or stuff here to sell you for it. I’m not sure when we will complete the software for either car. Have you signed up for the newsletter at our website? We can email you when we release stuff for the n55 and n20." So they are working on both N20 and N55. ![]()

Just ordered the BMS Stage 1 for our X1 (N20). I'll report back after. I went this route because the feedback has been stellar, and it's been installed in over 250 rides already. BMS is currently working on their Stage 2 for this (unlocking CAN features, more power, etc).

Picked up my X1 specific KW V1 coilovers today and compared the part numbers with those of my wife's 335i xDrive setup. Front/Rear dampers and rear springs are all the same as the E90/E92 xDrive units. X1 specific items are sleeves fitted to the front dampers to suit the X1 front knuckle, and different front springs (10mm longer and slightly heavier gauge coil).
With this info at hand, and bearing in mind the relative lack of availability for the X1 specific units (KW NA will just say no, you can't have them), I'd say the E90/E92 xDrive items are a safe and workable alternative. |

I just finished installing the BMS Stage 1 piggyback in my wife's X1 (28i). It's the N20 (not N26) and thus utilized all 4 connections. Took about 45 minutes - easy. No CEL or anything. Only had to reset the clock and good to go.
First impressions: lots more pull. Neck-whipping acceleration in the higher rev-range. Seems very balanced, as you can meander around town with fuel economy in mind... then stomp on it and really feel the added hp/tq. I say well done to BMS. Can't imagine what Stage 2 will look like

BMS N20 Stage 2 news: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18786
TLDR: A new N20 2.0L world dyno record: 300+whp and 350+wtq!!! Stock everything except the JB4 N20 tune on E85 fuel. |

If I had to guess, they are probably testing on E85 because lower octane brings more knock. I would rather them tune for the lowest octane they can find than for higher octane and be forced into 93 only (even though I only use 93 anyway)

Looks like the JB4 autotuning supports E85 blended with 91/93 (straight E85 not recommended).
I'm glad I sold my N54 E90...too much temptation, power corrupts! The N20 is saving me from myself. I wonder which features will make their way into the N20/N26 Stage 2 (JB4) tune? Quote:

Any X1 35i owners out there using a JB Stage 1 ? If so did you use all 4 connectors with the install ?
Edit- Disregard, does not work no matter what config used.

Negative. I have no experience with the JB4. I ordered and tried the JB Stage 1 harness. JB4 is supposed to be a different animal altogether inside.

I did post a question asking if anyone was running the JB stage 1, but no response. My question would be is there another owner running the Stage 1 harness on a 2013 35i ?
