There seem to be just two OEM summer tires that are delivered on M Sports in the US. I've read that the Pirelli Cinturato P7 Run Flat are a bit more inspiring than the low rolling resistance Goodyear Efficient Grip RunOnFlat. Now that A/S tires are an option, any reports on what tire is being provided?
Please comment on your impressions of the OEM tires. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y.jsp?ttid=158 |

It may be the Goodyears on 18" and Pirelli on 19" wheels.

After reading the F30 forums, consensus seems to rate the RFTs in this order:
1. Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT 2. Pirelli Cinturato P7 Run Flat 3. Goodyear Efficient Grip RunOnFlat I wouldn't be surprised if BMW has seen the err of their ways (like with the paddle shift fiasco) and have stopped putting Goodyear's on M Sports, making the Pirellis the default M Sport summer tire. Perhaps we'll even see the Bridgestones soon since they are offered on F30 M Sports. Hopefully, Tire Rack performs another road test that includes the newer Bridgestones and Goodyears. I have a feeling that Michelin is still king of the hill. |

Do you mean they've never put them on non M Cars? Because E9x M3's come on PS2's as did the 1M Coupe. I don't think they've put anything on the PSS yet, but perhaps the F10 M5 is? If you were talking about RFT's though, than you're correct, as far as I know.

Just got my car last tuesday, sport line with the 18" Pirelli P7s. We have a ton of ice right now on the roads and they are doing just fine, although I can flick the tail out pretty easy if I try. In the bit of fresh snow we had over the weekend it was just fine. I'm actually not sure if I'm going to mount my set of studded Generals.
