Anyone know or successfully installed the e90/e92 335xi stoptech, AP, brembo BBK front and rear kits bolt on the X1 35i brakes.
I'm surprised the oem brake pads don't dust like the previous 1 or 3 series. Probably one of the reason the car stops 60-0 in 126 ft. I need abit more bite so I ordered more aggressive pads and motul 600 for now. |

Don't know that anyone's tried it yet. In theory it should be a direct bolt on given the identical standard brake rotors/calipers.

Hi All! just got my X1 M and joined the site. I mod all my rides so I'll be reading and posting. So far I swapped out the grills for the OEM glossy Black ones, Tinted all the windows including a 6 inch strip on the windshield and ordered an AFE dry air filter.

brakes and suspension for M
Thanks Anyone know if the 2013 28 x shares brake and suspension parts with any other models? I am looking to upgrade but none of the internet sites have X1 parts listed yet.....

According to Realoem, it shares the rotors/calipers with the E9x 328i/xi (front and rear).

I got my my eibach sport lines installed this week and the rear sits almost an inch lower than the front. It's starting to bug me more each day. I'd rather have a rake than a sag in the rear end. Coilovers are not an option since I saw something about modifying something on the car and mine is a lease so I'm sticking to bolt-ons. Any suggestions? I'm thinking either get prokit rear springs or even rear coil overs. Or maybe cutting half a coil off the front springs. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up about these springs on the x1 ill take done pics when I get a chance later today.

Thanks to Endless Details for this info! To run coilovers, you don't have to modify anything on the car per se.....you just need to add a sleeve up front where the strut mounts into the knuckle/hub carrier. The sleeve can be removed in order to reinstall the stock struts at lease return.
The rears just bolt up as usual. There are X1 specific kits from KW (both V1 and V3 varieties), but they're only sold to the German market as far as I know. I'm currently trying to get my hands on a set through my usual guy here in Calgary. If that doesn't work, I'll try and hit up some of my contacts back in the UK. |
