BMW Performance Grilles
Hey Guys,
I just got these in and installed. These are the black OEM grills from BMW, I think I may be the first person to get them as I've been bugging the BMWNA accessories manager about them for a while (I work at a dealer), and he finally made them available. Here's a quick shot of them installed on my X1 35i M sport and a shot of the part numbers. ![]() ![]() |

I think they're a must have for the LMB! There is no other chrome on the car....
EDIT: I have a xDrive35i so I have black exhaust tips too. Last edited by dicker; 11-07-2012 at 09:50 PM. Reason: more info. |

The gloss black grills look great. Would love to see them on a black x1.

Well I don't want to hijack this thread but I just finished mine. I had perviously plastic dip spayed them and could not get a wet gloss look. so I removed the PD and painted them with a high gloss black paint then coated with a gloss over coat. Took all day as I had them looking sick (good) then was trying to take a pic with my freaking phone and dropped the phone and it fell on both frames and FuK up the paint so I had to soaked each frame in paint thinner and scrub all night long then repainted and heated up in oven for 10 min on low . Um good cooking! but it worked and just put them on and it looks 100% better than the PD>>>>>

Nice work - as someone else said, you'll end up with a black car one day
![]() Looking at your pics, I noticed the three covered holes in the bumper. The large one on the right (left on the pictures) is almost certainly for an electrical plug, like if you install an electric oil pan heater, but what are the two small ones for? Mounting a cow catcher? |

The parking sensors I have mixed feelings about - I'm afraid that drivers will start relying on them, instead of just treating it as extra input. But nice to have, nice to have... |
