We share with you the first videos of the 2013 BMW X1 (LCI facelift model) in action, starting with a summary video from BMW.

The sDrive28i RWD model starts in the US at $30,650, the xDrive28i at $32,350 and the xDrive35i at $38,450. Production of the 2013 X1 will begin in July.

  • 2.0L TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine (N20), with direct injection, double-vanos, valvetronic
  • 240hp @ 5000 rpm
  • 260lb-ft torque @ 1250 rpm - 4800 rpm
  • 8 speed steptronic automatic transmission
  • 0-60 in 6.2s (sDrive28i) and 6.3s (xDrive28i)
  • 24 mpg city / 33 mpg highway / 27 mpg combined (sDrive28i) *preliminary EPA estimates*
  • 22 mpg city / 30 mpg highway / 25 mpg combined (xDrive28i) *preliminary EPA estimates*
  • Performance Control available on xDrive28i as part of available M Sport Package (read more in press release)

Please tell me the dash does not have that stupid, useless analog MPG gauge. Turbo 4 or 6, I'd much rather than the oil temperature right there than that waste of space.

I don't think it's useless at all in a daily driver like this.

This isn't an M car...

I don't think it's useless at all in a daily driver like this.

This isn't an M car...
It's useless and annoying. They can easily add that feature in the menu where it shows the gas amount left like the 335 has.

Very nice design. Really like the interior. Cant wait to see more pics of the M-Sport edition. The X-Line looks awesome, love the details.

By the way, they have the same analog gauge on F30 and F25 w/o Tech Package and it's pretty useful

Production for the US comes from Germany although I read they will start building them in China but probably just for China consumption.

X1 are already being built in china. It's called brilliance auto. They are building the new 3 series 328iL there too!
