I got my X1 a couple week ago. I noticed that when I started the engine,12,000km was displayed on the screen. After I have now done around 800km, the same figure "12,000km" was displayed. I wonder why the clock did not start counting down. Was "12,000km" displayed on your X1 initially and how many km have you done start counting down? Thanks.

Do you like your X1?
Going back to your question, that's normal. The count-down meter works on some algorithm : it shows you when the service interval is based on your driving habits. If you track your car and do some spirited diriving, the count-down meter will start count down. But personally, I wouldn't give a damn on what that says. I will do an oil change on the first 3,000 km followed by another one at 8,000 km, primarily becoz in HK we do so much more stop-and-go traffic. Hope this help! |

Wow sunnywuh that's real frequent oil change. Does that make sense? I change my oil once per every 10k km or so, once per year.
I made my order on June and it was supposed to be delivered 3 months after, then 40 days got added. So atm, I'm looking at about 4-5 months of wait. I'm more then sure it will be delayed again. Did anybody tried to get some free equipment for late deliveries from your sellers? I got 5 years free yearly service for this first delay. Though I most likely can't use it in my Country... |

Yes that's pretty normal where I live, given HK is such a tiny place - with so much more stop-and-go, creating more tear and wear to the engine!
The first 3,000/km oil change is for the engine to run-in! Although they say Beemer enginers have been run-in, I just don't want to take chances. |

THanks Sunny, i've posted one photo on the thread i started. As you know the weather has been pretty awful these few days, so im looking forward to taking some photos soon.
Some of the standard options are: Roof railings Metallic paint Alloys Runflats Nevada Leather 6 speed steptronic Park distance control Rain sensors Dual Climate aircon Electric seats with memory Multi function Steering wheel Arm rest front From what i have read on other threads, these are not being included as standard elsewhere (even on the more upper range models). If im not wrong, in Canada, an X1 was delivered without a front arm rest! Then there is also the servicing plan included also. Apart form that we've also got the Fine line wave wood trim (but we paid for that). It would be great if we could get an X1 group together in HK. What do you think?! |

Thanks iwantanx.. i couldnt remember exactly. I am guessing you have a more comfortable rear seat than all of us then?
In Australia the Nevada leather, metallic paint, 17 inch alloys, electric memory seats, and sports auto alone would have cost over $8000 AUD... |

an X1 group here in HK!
I am coming from an E90 forum, used to be pretty active as well. Things have been really quiet on this forum. So would be great, only concern is whether we have enough X1 Fanatic! |
