Saying goodbye ...
Hi all. After more than 32k miles, I parted company with my M Sport yesterday. Some of you know we had a strained relationship from the start. Most of the issues were with BMW, but I had my share of frustrations with the car as well. It was time to move on. I will probably poke my head in here from time-to-time to see what's going on, but I don't want to be a disruption, so I'll keep future posts outside this thread to a minimum.
I will be listing a few parts for sale in the classifieds when I can get organized and snap a few pictures. Specifically: 17" winter wheel/tire package Staggered 18" Conti DSW's 15mm & 10mm BMS wheel spacer kits OE chrome and black grille inserts Please send me a PM if you're interested in any of the parts, or just keep watching the classifieds for the formal listings. Thanks to everyone ... it's been fun! |

Very cool. Their new TDi is impressive. You certainly found yourself a lot more luxury. Congratulations.

So I've heard. But I heard that about Audi, too, and our Q5 has been absolutely fantastic. I don't want to turn this into a BMW bashing thread, so I'll just say my BMW experience has been less than ideal and leave it at that.

I agree. Look nice in the R-Line. I didn't even know that this version of the SUV existed. I'll have to keep on eye on this and will follow up with you as my wife will be looking for a SUV in this size category in 2 years.

I actually like the looks of the Highlander, and in general I don't like Toyotas. I couldn't bring myself to take one for a test drive though. I took a long look at the Grand Cherokee, too, and was actually close to pulling the trigger on one until I drove the Touareg. The Touareg is so much more refined it seemed worth spending a little more. (Plus, I had a bad test drive experience in the GC. Really bad!) |

Most experiences with brands revolve around individual dealership treatments vs the brand itself. Which in a way is a shame because dealership treatment can make or break a customer relationship. Good luck with your new vehicle.
