Sometime, low sales volumes of premium quality products with high profit per unit is more profitable than the other way around. Look at premium brands like Miele or Panerai...they are achieving amazing financial success with low volume sales.

Look at Porsche, the whole reason they made the cayenne was so that they could get more profits to make the entusiast car (the 911) even better. Whats wrong with BMW doing the same thing? Hell, I say if all of their SUVs are making cars like the M3/M5/M6 etc even better then build all the SUVs u want
